Visitors, Members, and Players that visit this site will have several question that arise from learning how to sign up to the different benefits of permissions.  I encourage all members of my old site to sign up with the same user-name as you did on the older one, as I will be able to immediately identify you and give you the equivalent permissions on this site.  As with the new visitors, I also encourage you to sign up if you are interested in trying something new, like a more realistic fantasy world but preserving the more entertaining content, like magic and monsters.  Like most things, I did some milling over when I created these permissions and basically tried to be fair without compromising my sleep by wondering if someone is taking my ideas.  So in detail there are three permission settings.

Public: This setting is basically is how it sounds.  Visitors are defaulted to this setting.  You are able to browse the site and look at the setting to get a feel for how it is.  Mostly meant to instill interest in the new people and visitors that peruse my site.  Mainly limited to news, viewing some forums, and basic information.  You will notice that many sections will show (0 Articles) or seem to lack information.  It is because they are only viewable to registered members.

Registered: This setting is the default for any person who signs up on my site.  To sign up all you need is a valid email, I truly do encourage you if you are interested to sign up.  This opens up some content and allows the user to get a more in-depth view of the world I created.  Also you can post on forums and suggest ideas and in general get involved in the community.  This is also the default for any person who wants to play online using my Ventrilo server and Online Board.

Special: This is the highest setting, this allows full moderation of all posts and allows full control over the front-end of the site.  Players that have played at my table or people assisting in designing the campaign default to this setting.  The user has full access to all content and gains their own email address off the domain.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (01/28/2011): All registered users must post a Player Introduction in the Player Introduction Forum within one week of registering.  I am sending an email blast and any who have not update within one week of today will be put in a block status.  If the user does not contact me at dungeonmaster@aerynath.com to request an unblock so they may post within a week of being blocked, then they will be removed.  Please post on there this will help me determine why you are here and ensure that new users are catered to.  Thank you
